Historic House Tours ​​

 

Fridays and Sundays, tours depart from the Visitor Center at Noon and 2:00 pm.

An introduction begins 5 minutes prior to departure. Please arrive early to purchase your tickets at the Visitor Center. Pre-registration is not required.

​

Grounds & Gardens: Sunday-Saturday, dawn-dusk (occasionally closed for programs; contact office for details)

​

Visitor Center Hours: Monday-Friday 10 am-4pm

Sundays 11:30-3:30 pm

Tour Admission 

Adults: $5/person

Seniors and Groups of 10 or more: $4/person

Ages -18 and Students with ID: $2/person

Ages 4 & under: Free

Mother's Day Free Tours

Sunday, May 11, 2025, Noon & 2 PM

Join the Riversdale House Museum for a FREE Mother’s Day tour as we interpret the history of the people who lived and worked at this former plantation from the house’s construction in 1801 through Emancipation in 1864. Visitors engage in facilitated dialogue with Tour Guides while being led through rooms of the historic house and dependency buildings.

This is a one-hour guided tour. We ask that visitors arrive at the Visitor Center 5-10 minutes ahead of time to get registered.

Preservation Month Program at Riversdale House Museum

Saturday, May 17, 2025, 11 AM - 3 PM

​

Join the team at Riversdale House Museum for a community day focused on the preservation of personal photographs. Connect with members of the community in learning about the evolution of capturing images over time, different types of photographs, and preserving your images at home. There will be an opportunity to participate in a hands-on activity and have your very own photo takeaway. Help Riversdale capture this snapshot in history!
