Garden

Garden Aides assist the Historic Gardener in the many different aspects of the Riversdale garden. A microcosm of what once grew on the property, today we mainly grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, and flowers — all in a historic way!

Docent

Riversdale House Museum has been standing for over 200 years, with countless lives lived between its walls. But it was not just a house, but also a home; one to rich, poor, free, enslaved, young, and old. As a docent, you get to tell those stories.

Collections

Without primary records, saying anything definitively is difficult. What happens when someone finds thousands of 19th-century documents in their attic? You find Digital Collections Aides! Scanning and transcribing are essential tasks for the preservation of history.

Kitchen Guild

History and cooking, how much better can it get? The Kitchen Guild can be seen in the Dependency on Sundays, cooking historic recipes over an open hearth.
